Getting petitions distributed and signed is a piece of cake in comparison with 2012!
Hopefully attitudes have also come round with people realizing how important this is for our quality of life: we want our roads to be and feel a whole load safer in order to encourage more walking and cycling around our town.
So join us by signing this petition, which gives an example of just how dangerous even our smallest residential roads can be and how fearful we’ve become as a result… I should add that the events and people described here are real and have not been invented…

It’s time for our new challenge… This month, as it’s back to school, we decided on looking at our travel choices so September is all about getting around. See if you can make a difference by walking, cycling and using public transport more, and cut your car journeys by 50% this month.
Great news about the Government’s planned investment in making cycling safer and more accessible in Greater Manchester.
Our council could make it safer for our community too by spending as little as £2-3 per head in introducing 20 mph limits. We have over 150 signatures in Wilmslow so far in support of this – without leafleting!
If you haven’t done so already please sign the petition at:

Also, see Gorsey Bank’s travel survey results. We would love to hear from other schools and institutions about their travel habits and needs – do get in touch!
Don’t forget our next family bike ride at the September Artisan market!

We asked the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner candidates for their views on 20’s Plenty. See their responses here.
The campaign to set a 20mph speed limit was joined today by double Olympic gold medallist and local resident Victoria Pendleton. Ms Pendleton was signing autographs and posing for photos with fans at the Royles bikes store on Knutsford Road today. She agreed to add an extra signature to her load: our petition!
