January 2021: After the tree felling…
Lindow Moss Community Forum December 2020
We held our second meeting on 8 December, with a discussion about the elusive Liaison Committee, an introduction of our four person Community Panel, and two presentations: John Handley on water levels on Lindow Moss, and Anna Gilchrist from Manchester University on the ecology of Lindow Moss.
The notes of the meeting and the presentations are here:
Lindow Moss Community Forum launched!
We held our first meeting on 22nd September via Zoom. The Forum is open to everyone, so if you are not yet on the Save Lindow Moss mailing list email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
What is really important is that you VOTE! to tell us whether you think that the Lindow Moss Liaison Committee should be set up now, or whether we should wait until the last date stipulated in the planning consent (3 months after the start of restoration). The survey monkey link and notes from the meeting are here:
We wouldn’t also like you to nominate yourself (or others, if they agree) to be on the Community Forum panel, that we hope will form part of the Liaison Committee.
We have established a Lindow Moss Community Forum so that everyone in the community can find out more about the changes happening on the Moss and have their voices heard. Plans for the forum are here:
We have suggested some changes we would like to see to the Moss restoration document that was part of the planning consent. What do you think?
