Cheshire East Debates its Environment Strategy and Carbon Plan

Transition Wilmslow, along with the East Cheshire Climate Alliance, responded vigorously to CEC’s draft environmental strategy at the end of last year. CEC Cabinet are discussing their environment strategy and carbon plan next week (Tuesday, 5th May) and Andrew will be asking a question about it from the Cheshire East Climate Alliance at the meeting. https://moderngov.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ecminutes/documents/g7467/Public%20reports%20pack%2005th-May-2020%2013.00%20Cabinet.pdf?T=10 is the agenda and documents.

Andrew says: “Read p59 – for the draft strategy, p83 – for the feedback from the last consultation which many of us fed in to, p105 – for the Carbon Action Plan, and  from p117 – 193 for the external report compiled by Anthesis, which has many good ideas that do not seem to appear in the plans they are hoping to adopt. So if you are bored, read some of the papers, and push the councillors!”
