The Other Side of Lindow Moss

Professor John Handley led another wonderful walk exploring the Mobberley side of  Lindow Moss. We looked at peat from different levels, with the remains of ancient vegetation, observed the contours of ancient paths, saw Sundew and cotton grass, and explored the Quaker graveyard. It was lovely to see an old cottage being lovingly restored by its new owner. We stopped by the place where Lindow Man was found and as always, wondered when we might finally see a sympathetic restoration of this place of historical, archeological and ecological heritage. Thank you to John as always for such an informative and enjoyable walk; and to everyone who came and shared this special place with us.
