The Transition Conference is back! Tickets on Sale Now!
18-20 September. Seale-Hayne, Devon, UK
From the Transition website …
‘After a 3 year gap since our last event at Battersea Arts Centre, the 2015 gathering will bring together delegates from across the worldwide Transition Movement, connecting National Hubs with local Initiatives and celebrating the wonderful achievements and work that have been occurring since we began this journey back in 2006. Our intention for this event is to make an affordable, accessible and inclusive international event that embraces the diversity of those involved in this network.
We’re delighted to be returning to the home of our 2010 Conference, the beautifulSeale-Hayne in Devon. We’re currently designing Fringe events, Training, Tours and other fun and fabulous things for what will be a really remarkable few days in Devon. In the meantime here is an overview:
- Main Transition International Conference:
Friday 18 September to Sunday 20 September
- Transition Training & Skills Day: Friday 18 September
- National Hubs Gathering: Thursday 17 September – Tuesday 22 September
- 1 Year in Transition Youth Gathering: Thursday 17 – Friday 18 September
Invitation to co-create 24 hours for young adults at the TN conference
- Global Webcast: An online interactive event held during the conference aimed at deepening connections with Transitioners around the world.
This year’s conference will be a celebration of the truly international thing that Transition has become, following on as it does from the International Permaculture Convergence being held in Essex, UK and interweaving with the annual National Hubs Gathering as well. The Conference is going to be an inspiring melting pot of ideas, activities and creativity and we want you to be involved!
There will be many of the exciting and nourishing talks, workshops and participatory activities, from morning yoga to interactive discussions that you will have come to expect from a Transition Conference, and even a live global webcast event sewn into the fabric. But this year there will be something that sets this conference a part from the others; the Transition movement has ‘grown up’. Transition Initiatives are creating some of the exciting and ground breaking enterprises and personal practices that is making another world not only possible but is building it one piece at a time. We will be showcasing some of these amazing projects and showing how you can build on their inspiration.
